Nel giorno della morte di Michael Jackson, mi sento in dovere di omaggiarlo da parte di tutto il sito postando una delle sue canzoni più celebri, “Smooth Criminal”.

“Smooth Criminal” è contenuta nell’album “Bad”, datato 1987. Fù il settimo singolo estratto ed esistono ben 2 versioni del videoclip. La prima, quella intera, della durata di 9 minuti e 10 secondi, mentre la seconda, che sarebbe la versione più famosa, dura poco più di 4 minuti.

Ho scelto questa versione live in quanto secondo me è più emozionante. In questo video traspare tutto il talento di Michael, sia come ballerino che come cantante. La scenografia inoltre è curatissima, un vero e proprio spettacolo a cui purtroppo non ho mai assistito.

Fatico ancora a capacitarmi che sia morto. E’ una perdita enorme per tutto il mondo della musica. Nonostante tutto, le sue canzoni rimarranno per sempre. Grazie per quello che ci hai regalato Michael. R.I.P

Questo secondo singolo di Pitbull devo dire che è un po di mesi che sta spopolando dappertutto, sia in luoghi di divertimento come discoteche e pub, sia nei vari media come radio e televisione. “I Know you want Me” fa parte dell’album “Rebelution”, album che si sta guadagnando molti fan anche al di fuori del mondo hip-hop e r&b, segno appunto della “commercialità” del prodotto.

Pitbull, cosi come tanti artisti del settore, va sul classico, confezionando un videoclip pieno di seducenti donnine che gli si strusciano addosso o gli ballano davanti in maniera molto provocante. Ce ne stanno per tutti i gusti ed ognuna è vestita in modo diverso. La mora con la frangia vestita di nero penso sia la migliore.

Staremo a vedere se le prossime canzoni di Pitbull bisseranno il successo di “I Know you want me” o se invece finiranno nel dimenticatoio assieme a quelle di tanti suoi illustri colleghi. Sotto vi allego il testo della canzone.

Mi son documentato un po su wikipedia prima di buttar giù due righe sulla canzone. Come immaginavo le Pussycat Dolls ha fatto una riedizione del brano. La versione originale di questa “Jai Ho” infatti è stata composta nel 2008 da Rahman e Gulzar per il famoso film “The Millionaire”. “Jai Ho” è scritta per il 90% in hindi e per il restante 10% in spagnolo.

Questa riedizione (e non cover) delle Pussycat Dolls è stata registrata nei primi mesi del 2009 per poi comparire in esclusiva su iTunes nell’ultima settimana di febbraio. Inutile dirvi che ha avuto grandissimo successo in tutto il mondo, classificandosi per alcune settimane anche al primo posto della nostra classifica musicale.

Il video musicale di “Jai Oh” è molto curato nei dettagli e si rifà delle atmosfere bolliwodiane del film. Come potrete notare nel video la canzone è cantata interamente (come al solito direi), dalla bellissima compagna di Lewis Hamilton, Nicole Scherzinger. In qualche frangente ha occasione di comparire anche Rahman.

Ultima Curiosità: Le Pussycat Dolls sono state premitate per il video di “Jai Ho” il 13 marzo del 2009.

Prima o poi doveva succedere. Perché? Perché Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana è ovunque (al momento è in questa stanza che mi guarda dall’alto dei suoi quattro poster)! Ha un telefilm tutto suo, concerti dedicati, dvd, un film uscito, video musicali e udite udite anche un libro (l’ho visto in libreria, è tutto vero!). Come fa ad aver tempo per vivere?

Il video è “The climb”, pezzo inserito nella colonna sonora del film con la nostra amica “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, contiene immagini del film, in particolare alcune scene con colui che pare essere il belloccio irresistibile del film (notate il sorriso smagliante 40 secondi dopo l’inizio del video). Dopo Alessandra Amoroso, un’altra neo star fabbricata da Amici di Maria de Filippi, il sardissimo e riccioloso Valerio Scanu, qui al suo primo video con il singolo “Dopo di me”, dall’album “Sentimento”, già disco di platino in virtù delle 70mila copie vendute (ha già vinto un altro disco di platino per le vendite del singolo omonimo).

Lo troviamo qui in versione estiva, un video di mare e affini. Troviamo lei in spiaggia a ghiocherellare con la sabbia che poi il suo lui si ritrova in una bottiglia (nel frattempo la sta raggiungendo al mare). Lentamente lui viene trasformato in uno scoglio o simili, si trova anche una conchiglia in tasca. Ovviamente alla fine i due si incontrano, e vissero felici e contenti, mentre il buon Valerio Scanu sembra aver imparato a memoria come è fatta la tenda, tanto quanto la conchiglia.
