Ho visto il video poco fa (sempre su emtivì, già) e non potevo fare a meno di proporvelo. Intanto qualche notizia: probabilmente le conoscete già, ma per gli ignoranti come me è meglio dare delle linee guida. Le Veronicas sono un gruppo australiano, composto dalle due gemelle omozigote (cioè sono uguali, più o meno) Lisa Marie Origliasso e Jessica Louise Origliasso, che strano cognome XD. La loro musica richiama vagamente il punk ma molto più sul pop, quindi la definirei un pop punk, orecchiabile anche per me che sono un invasato.

“Untouched” è contenuta nel loro secondo album di studio, “Hook me up” (che è anche il titolo del primo singolo estratto). Questo pezzo, “Untouched” è il secondo singolo e, a detta delle due sorelle, la loro canzone preferita dell’album. Nel video, siccome si sentono “untouched”  vediamo un bell’ometto affascinante (c’è sempre un ometto affascinante, avete notato?), che prima si scambia effusioni con una delle due gemelle, ma poi si scopre che lui è un infame doppiogiochista perché voleva anche farsi l’altra, così le due sorelle mano nella mano se ne vanno, e la morale del giorno è che puoi sempre contare sulla famiglia mentre gli uomini sono tutti dei maiali. Yeah!

PS: conosco una persona secondo cui le due sorelle sono definibili solo come “lesbochic”, e secondo me è proprio vero!

Ho appena visto questo video su emtivì e quindi ho deciso di recensirlo per voi (in barba agli esami, ha!). Questo pezzo è il secondo singolo dall’ottavo album dei Green Day, “21st Century Breakdown”, uscito a maggio di quest’anno. Sembra ormai che il successo dei Green Day non abbia più limiti: io me li ricordo come gruppo sì conosciuto, ma solo dagli “addetti ai lavori”, quando avevo 14 anni e andavo sulla skateboard, e ora li si vede ovunque, un successo davvero impressionante.

Il “ventuno” del disco ritorna anche nel titolo della canzone, “21 guns”. Nel video, ambientato in una stanza, vediamo alternativamente il gruppo che suona e una ragazza insieme ad un ragazzo. Si alternano momenti di calma (durante la strofa del pezzo) a momenti in cui la stanza viene sforacchiata da colpi di pistola (durante il ritornello della canzone).I due poi si baciano appassionatamente da metà canzone in poi. Evidentemente i due avevano discusso animatamente, ma al suono della soave voce di Billie Joe Armstrong che canta “Lay down your arms, Give up the fight” tutto si riappacifica. Ecco il testo:

Oggi voglio parlarvi del nuovo singolo dei Depeche Mode. Si chiama “Peace” ed è il secondo estratto dall’album “Sound of the Universe”, uscito nel mese di aprile e lanciato al grande pubblico con la canzone “Wrong”.

Non posso far altro che complimentarmi con i Depeche Mode, sia per la canzone (anche se comunque rimane leggermente inferiore, almeno in questi primi ascolti, al singolo precedente), sia per il video, davvero molto curato e con un’attrice (Maria Dinulescu, protagonista del film del 2007 “California Dreamin”) che si immedesima molto nella parte della “soldatessa”, non mancando di emozionare l’ascoltatore/spettatore.

Il video è stato girato dal team francese di Joans & Francois, famosi tralaltro per aver girato il famoso video di “4 Minutes” di Madonna e Justin Timberlake.

La storia del video si lascia intuire molto bene. Questa ragazza subisce una violenza e per vendicarsi si arruola nell’esercito, si vendica insomma compiendo un’altra violenza. Ben presto scopre però che tutto ciò non è servito a niente. La pace interiore che cercava non è stata trovata, ma forse capisce che la strada giusta da intraprendere non è poi cosi lontana.

Lo sapevamo tutti che il momento sarebbe arrivato: la recensione dei dARI sarebbe arrivata prima o poi e non avremmo potuto fare nulla in nostro potere per evitarlo. Ho scelto l’ultimo singolo perché quello con Max Pezzali non riuscivo proprio a farlo. Beh, che dire dei dARI? Un gruppo strano, davvero strano, che sembra aver fagocitato il peggio delle tendenze giovanili degli ultimi anni, tutte comodamente mixate nel look, nella musica e nel modo di scrivere.

In questo video li vediamo innanzitutto strafarsi di Red Bull, che se non mette loro le ali perlomeno li flasha abbastanza da continuare il resto del video, in cui il signor cantante Dario “dARI” Pirovano prende prima un classico Ciao, per poi passare a qualche mezzo più potente, come una dune buggy, per andare verso l’infinito e oltre. Il problema si presenta quando cerca di imitare il Barone Rosso, perché il suo aereo finisce labbenza (o LaBbEnZa?) e schianta miseramente a terra (perché ovviamente “lei era la benzina e lui il motore”), per poi con nostra gioia sopravvivere in qualche modo e ritornare dai suoi amici, avendo capito che ormai l’amore è scappato (e chissà perché). Bon, siccome di Michael Jackson si parla già abbastanza, io faccio l’outsider e vi recensisco “It’s alright, it’s OK” di Ashley Tisdale, anche lei che è un po’ come il prezzemolo, la si vede dappertutto, soprattutto per gli appassionati di Disney Channel. È infatti diventata famosa per la partecipazione nel ruolo di Maddie Fitzpatrick nel programmo comico “Zack e Cody” al Grand Hotel (ha partecipato anche ad un episodio di “Zack e Cody sul punte di comando”), ma è apparsa anche in High School Musical unduettrè (li ha fatti tutti, interpretando Sharpay Evans, la cattiva) e addirittura ha avuto una parte nello stupendo “Donnie Darko”.

Nel video la vediamo innanzitutto non bionda, ma mora (ero rimasto indietro solo io?), che fa tanti saluti al suo ragazzo (quello senza ricci con cui si fa le foto all’inizio), che da vero gentiluomo si presenta a casa loro con una bionda, evidentemente equivoca (sarà per questo che lei ora è mora?), mentre lei furbamente se ne fugge con un bel ricciolone, che però di sicuro non è ai livelli del batterista del video di Lily Allen! Dal testo si capisce che il fattaccio non la addolora affatto:
